This week I battled with crochet. I don't find it easy and every time I pick up a project I have to relearn the basics again. I think also relearning the patten "code" also befuddles me. I think I must have ripped back the loops at least 9 times for the head.... after that the going got easier. Thank you youtube tutorials. This is all basic crochet, and the pattern is for a basic stitch only. So overall really recommended and little turtle comes out looking just like the pattern promises.

I picked up the wool in Taiwan. I have chosen a cheap acrylic because acrylic seems to give a stiffer finished amigurumi and will hopefully stand up to the laundry better! The Yarn is perhaps not well known. I couldn't find it on ravelry. It is a thick double knit, not quite aran and not quite DK.
