Homemade loom and weaving

So today I made a basic loom. Very relaxing!!

Nailed some tacks into an old ikea frame a friend left behind when she moved out of Hong Kong.

Threaded on a thin black wool.

And got weaving in some wool scraps. :)

Ok here it is all finished!!! Awsome holiday knit project because the repetitions are easy to remember.

This weekend I am aiming to focus on my May quilt and sew a dress. Just these to things.... And perhaps go out for coffee and dinner perhaps.... Focus!!

This sure is lovely stuff!! And as a gift from my mother Harriet the scarf/hap pattern by Kate Davies is just perfect for it!!!

I have changed the pattern a little to stocking stitch from garter stitch. It showes off the wool colours better.
