Doing the obligatory bianual Hong Kong move as landlord puts rent up 20%
Here is the imagined colour theme for the new place. Hopefully fitring in with what we have already. I always dream of this happening but the random mash of our aquired cheap furniture cast offs and crazy apparments we move into always scuppers my attempts at interior design. Anyhow I dont really need a new hobby. But at least I get to make curtains.

I learnt 2 colours of 2015.... Pantone Masarla and Guildford Green.
Useless knowledge... Going to read a book to balance it out.

So this year the big bag style for every day casual has been the back pack. I have seen them everywhere. Instead of buying it has been much more fun to make my own.

The leather and all the zips etc was sourced in Sham Sha Po ( where else! ) and I have some leftover leather for other projects. Total cost for this homemade version is approx 400HKD. A little pricey so I am going to have to get a lot of use out of it!

Crafting update!

Well I havent been able to post much of my current two projects. They are gifts. I prep my crafty gifts well in advance because I hate the pressure as a deadline looms.

So baby blanket for my Sister and wedding pressie for a friend are on the make at the moment.

However this hasnt stopped me nipping out to grab some fabric for my October or November quilt of the month. Yes these are also made well in advance... Or if not sewn in advance planned at the very least.

I have never used Batik fabric before. They are difficult to co ordinate with other prints I find and well I dont do tie tie boho much and I guess they remind me of that.

So its good to get a new challenge to plan with these fat quarters.
